Your Bio

I've enjoyed photography since I received my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic 100, back in the 1960s. In most cases I am unable to capture the exact moment or the way my eyes and mind perceive something but I always strive to get as close as I can.

I have included Judy's photos here as well.

My mom, Jane Reber, has been our family's genealogical historian over the past years. I have included a collection of photos she has scanned along with her captions.

HICS UMWA Humfest 2004: The Reconnection : So here we are in 2004 – aging kindred spirits, creative juice bar flies, content providers, hunter gatherers, decorative semioticians, antiquotidians, mycology brahmins, movers and free wheelers, life lovers, ex lovers, poor risk takers, outer children, etc., etc.– tribal members all. We are likely more mature…for good or ill…and a little mortal and world weary, perhaps. Hopefully we are holding strong and even living large…or extra large…all the while attempting to keep a safe distance from that ubiquitous and cruel, sucking sound of cynacism and dream loss. So, guys and gals! Lets reconnect and renew, win new friends and old ones too…and since this is all the time we have left, lets have the best time of our life–at least, one of them. –Smitty
